TumTape or a Tummy Tuck?
If you haven't heard of the brand new TumTape, you probably will soon. With several news companies hyping the new product, I got to wondering. What exactly is the TumTape? Naturally, curiosity got the best of me and I clicked on the video. When the model lifted up her shirt to reveal the over-sized bandage, I couldn't help but laugh a little and wonder how this had been getting so much attention.
I'm not saying that the TumTape is a bad or ineffective product, I just don't quite understand what sets it apart from other quick fixes like Spanx. In fact, in my own opinion, Spanx seem like the more comfortable alternative. I can barely endure ripping off a bandage, but now a bandage of this size? And with legs? My poor skin hurts just thinking of it.
The tummy tuck is designed to solve the unsolvable
Sure, like other modern day corset-like products out there, the TumTape seems to work well enough to quickly hide the bulge underneath your clothes. But it is summer, and what happens when you want to walk the beach in a bikini? I don't know about you, but I wouldn't exactly want a giant bandage to be awkwardly peaking out. I've said it once and I'll say it again, the tummy tuck is designed to get rid of the extra flab that will not go away otherwise. If you want an actual fix to the stubborn extra flab instead of just hiding it, contact our board certified surgeons at Tulsa Surgical Arts and we'll have you showing off your new bandage-less and Spanx-less belly in no-time.
