The latest FDA approved injectable wrinkle treatment is Jeuveau, nicknamed “Newtox.” Jeuveau works the same way as BOTOX™, Dysport, and Xeomin, but at a slightly lower price point. It’s the first neuromodulator to be for purely cosmetic use, with no medical indications.
Here at Tulsa Surgical Arts, we’re happy to provide our patients with the latest FDA approved non-surgical treatments. Ask us about Jeuveau and schedule your appointment today by calling 918-392-7900.
Jeuveau, pronounced “Joo-voh,” is an injectable treatment designed to smooth out wrinkles in the upper face. It’s a direct competitor to BOTOX™, and works the same way. Both treatments prevent wrinkle-causing muscles from contracting, allowing the skin to smooth out.
Jeauveau can treat the following areas:
It is highly effective, and you’ll notice visible results within a week after treatment. Like BOTOX™, Jeuveau is not a permanent treatment. Most patients find that results last anywhere from 3 to 6 months. Over time, with repeated use, you may find that results start to last longer.
A Jeuveau treatment takes around 10 minutes to complete. It’s not painful; most of our patients find the slight pinching sensation very tolerable. We can provide a numbing cream beforehand if you want, but most patients don’t need it.
Don’t expect visible results immediately. You should start to see some wrinkle reduction within the first week, with full results after 10 to 15 days.
After your Newtox treatment, you may experience:
These are all common side effects, and are nothing to worry about. It’s possible that you may have some bruising, but this is rare because the needle used with Jeuveau injections is so tiny. If you do experience bruising, you should be able to cover it up easily with makeup.
You’ll have a limited range of facial motion after a Newtox treatment, but you’ll still be able to make all your regular expressions. Jeuveau does not “freeze” the face.
Jeuveau can easily be combined with other non-surgical treatments for comprehensive results that don’t require any incisions. Common treatments that patients like to combine with Jeuveau or BOTOX™ include:
Jeuveau can also be combined with surgical treatments. A facelift doesn’t address dynamic wrinkles in the upper face, so adding on a Jeuveau treatment can give you an extra boost to your appearance.
If you’re interested in being one of the first patients in the country to try Jeuveau, don’t hesitate to contact Tulsa Surgical Arts today at 918-392-7900 to schedule your appointment. We serve patients in Tulsa and surrounding areas of Oklahoma.
