Revered Tulsa cosmetic surgeon Dr. Angelo Cuzalina recently served as the 2011 President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and also 2013 President of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. Since beginning his private practice in 1998, he has become a leader in the field of cosmetic surgery, culminating in the AACS presidential appointment.
He is board certified by two surgical boards– the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, for body, breast, and facial surgery, as well as the Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Cuzalina chose to go beyond the usual surgical residency training and elected to spend an additional year of cosmetic surgery fellowship training following his full surgical residency. His dedication to continued training and education along with a gift for the “art” of aesthetic surgery has allowed him to become a leader in the field of cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Cuzalina has had the opportunity to train and perform surgery with several of the past presidents of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Both his training and talent in cosmetic surgery have allowed him many opportunities to excel in this field.
Over the last decade, he has performed over 10,000 cosmetic surgery procedures. He has a special interest in body contouring after massive weight loss that occurs following bariatric surgery. He has also become well-known for his expertise in difficult facial aging cases, where multiple procedures are required to be performed during the same surgery.
Dr. Cuzalina has performed over 3,000 breast augmentation and breast enhancement procedures and has developed a particular interest in simultaneous breast lifting and augmentation. He has lectured extensively across the country on this subject.

Dr. Cuzalina is routinely asked to lecture across the US and Europe. He has given well over 100 lectures across the globe related to cosmetic surgery topics. His international lectures have included Paris in 2006 at the International Aesthetic Surgery meeting. Other countries in which he has spoken on breast procedures have included Greece, Croatia, and Italy. Dr. Cuzalina was also faculty and a teaching surgeon for a live international cosmetic surgery breast lift, reduction, and implant course in Austria. In 2007, he traveled to Dubai where he gave lectures and participated in the inaugural opening of the first, and only, hospital in the world that is exclusively devoted to cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Cuzalina is dedicated to the field of cosmetic surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and an elected member of the board of trustees for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He currently serves as the treasurer and has been the chairman of several key committees.
Having a desire to teach, improve patient safety, and improve overall results in cosmetic surgery lead Dr. Cuzalina to develop an AACS accredited cosmetic surgery fellowship training program. For several years Dr. Cuzalina has been the fellowship director for a general cosmetic surgery training program that accepts two outstanding surgeons a year. Dr. Cuzalina and his patients are fortunate to have well-trained and select surgeons to complement his practice.
For the past several years, Dr. Cuzalina has been the director and lead surgeon for live surgery workshops. Dr. Cuzalina has taught these live surgical courses that are ACCME-approved for continuing medical education. Surgeons from all around the United States and internationally gather in Tulsa to observe Dr. Cuzalina perform live surgery as well as to participate in three days of didactic sessions. Tulsa Surgical Arts is a state of the art facility that offers an auditorium to accommodate 45 surgeons. Faculties for the didactic sessions include pioneers in the field of cosmetic surgery who lecture while the participants view live surgery.
Dr. Cuzalina has loved the art of cosmetic surgery since his surgical residency training began in 1991. He has been dedicated to the specialty of cosmetic surgery since beginning his private practice in Oklahoma in 1998, where he built the first phase of his state-of-the-art facility. Currently, Dr. Cuzalina’s surgery center is considered to be one of the finest in the country, and it is truly personalized for an experience that the most discriminating patient will appreciate. Dr. Cuzalina feels sincerely blessed to be able to perform cosmetic surgery and is appreciative of the patients who trust their bodies and faces to his surgical skill.
Dr. Cuzalina is originally from McAlester, Oklahoma where he was a state champion wrestler. He attended Oklahoma State University on a wrestling scholarship. He made US National Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling teams and medaled in World championships in 1982 and 1985. He is a firm believer that hard work and integrity can create great things no matter who you are. Dr. Cuzalina also believes that his success is not due entirely from the results his patient’s see, but from their correct perception that he absolutely wants the best for them and is willing to go the extra mile to help make them happy.
