Are Temple Implants For You?

Surgical Technique
At the beginning of your appointment, Dr. Cuzalina will administer anesthesia or IV sedation so you remain comfortable throughout the treatment. Next, he will create a small incision near the hairline or behind the ear, which helps conceal the scar. After creating the incision, Dr. Cuzalina places the small silicone implants near the temporal muscles. The implants are inserted deep enough so you cannot feel or see them. Your incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures, and we will take you back to the recovery room.

Once we have completed the procedure and carefully monitored you for a little bit, you can return home to recover. We recommend having a responsible adult drive you home. For the first 2 – 3 days, you will experience some bruising and swelling. However, these symptoms should naturally subside on their own. Because the implant is placed near the muscle, the healing time is a little faster. Typically, patients can resume their normal activities within 2 – 3 days. To ensure proper healing, we provide detailed aftercare instructions before you head home to recover.

Is getting temple implants painful?
